11月11日至22日,《联合国气候变化框架公约》第二十九次缔约方大会 (COP29)在阿塞拜疆首都巴库举办。11日，“生态文明与美丽中国实践“边会在中国角成功举办，联合国前副秘书长兼环境规划署执行主任埃里克·索尔海姆(Erik Solheim)向边会进行致辞。索尔海姆表示，中国在环境保护方面走出了一条特色鲜明的道路，通过植树、建立自然保护区保护濒危物种、以及结合自然环境和文化遗产的保护，为世界其他国家提供了借鉴。他号召全世界携手打造更美丽的地球家园。(陈天浩)
Erik Solheim, former UN Environment Executive Director and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations delivered a speech to a side-event at China Pavilion during the COP29 held in Baku, Azerbaijan on Monday. During the speech, Solheim noted that China has forged a path of environmental protection no one can copy.
